Nissan NV200 – New York City's exclusive new taxi

It is great news for the Nissan company – the Nissan NV 200 has been announced the official taxi for the city of New York. This is considerable, considering that New York is where the largest requirement and existence of taxis is. What this means is that the Nissan company has once again proven that its NV is not just durable and comfortable, but has the looks to match too. With its affordable price, it has emerged as a clear winner in everyone’s heart.

This is great publicity for the Nissan company which will need to do virtually nothing before it gets out to the thousands of people who use taxis on a daily basis in the city of New York. However, the version of the Nissan NV which will finally be the taxi of New York will be a modified version of the NV which is currently being used as a commercial vehicle around the world.

The three major points which have been a consideration as far as the Nissan company, and the Nissan NV have been concerned are the convenience, comfort and safety. Nissan came out with flying colours on all three counts, which is how the NV came out at the top.

This is not just a move to give a functional alternative to the people. This is also a chance at improving the image of the existing taxis, and Nissan has done a great job with this offering. The NV will not just have great performance, but also give all passengers plenty of room for their belongings, and ample leg room that can help them feel rested and comfortable.

The Mean Machine - Nissan Rogue 2011

Nissan has the 2011 Rogue all ready, and here is what it has to offer. It has the typical flavour of Nissan design which is unmistakeable across most Nissan cars, but other than that the exterior does not have very much that it can boast of. The finish is rounded and swept, but has the traditional look of most CUV’s. The existing model has not been changed dramatically, but only has certain modifications thrown in for good measure. The fog lights are visibly lower, and have a detail which is easy to note. The sides of the car have been fitted with strips of chrome. Although the shiny addition may appeal to some it does not stand out particularly.

The car is definitely targeted at the youth – which is why the feel is young and go getterish. From the exterior to the large five spoke alloys, it is about having arrived. The Rogue continues to offer ample space to store in all you need to, and also comfortable seating owing to its elevated seating height.

The high end model of the Rogue has several interesting features which include power windows, adjustable seats at six levels and also Bluetooth connectivity and hands free. However, inside the Rogue you will find all the interiors done up in a drab dark black and very little light entering. It is amazing to note how a little colour could have made a world of a difference to this car.

The headlights have a new sheen to them, almost resembling jewels in their appearance. The grille is also completely new, with added style.

There is also more space in the interiors. You will notice this instantly in the room that all passengers have, and also the additional room that has been offered for cargo. The additional leg room is apparent as soon as you occupy your position in the car. In the rear, you will find that every detail including the shape and also the structure of the hinges has been modified to ake allowance for more room.

The Nissan Versa Sedan 2012 has a five speed manual transmission with a four cylinder engine and 109 horsepower engine at 6000 rpm. In the city, most people can look to get about 30 miles per gallon, with over 36 miles to the gallon on the highway.

All in all, the 2012 Nissan Versa Sedan has managed to combine style with substance. When it boasts of additions and improvements, it has certainly done enough to ensure that it has some benefits for everyone involved.

Even within the base ‘S’ model, you will find things like a six CD changer and other superlative benefits. Also for the taking are alloy wheel, power sliding doors and leather upholstery in the higher models.

Review of the 2012 Nissan NV

Nissan has been rather clever in its strategy and positioning. The 2012 Nissan NV is one such.

The Nissan NV has decided to come out stronger in 2012, focusing on its strength and power to make the vehicle move. It has also taken into consideration the perceived value and also comfort while managing this van. However, no one can still tell for sure how this van ill perform once it is on the road and if it will be able to manage to stay without giving too much trouble and incurring high maintenance costs.

The main drivers of the Nissan NV are its competitive prices, and also the ability to stick to the basics and deliver on functionality. This is what will help the NV stay clearly ahead of competition and above the rest in the segment. Although it has a few negatives which include the inability to offer a diesel variant, and also the presence of only sliding doors as opposed to the conventional variety, there are also several wonderful things about the NV which must be noted. For one, it has wonderful interiors which offer plenty of room. There is lots of space which can be used well to stack up on goods. The height of the roof is rather high, which gives it another edge. Moreover, the hood is elongated and makes it relatively easy to service. All in all, this is a great buy for someone who is looking for value for money overall.

Colours and Hues of the 2011 Nissan NV

When you think about large commercial vans, the first place that comes to your mind is America. This is where the commercial van took its root and grew, and this is where it continues to reign the roads. This market has always seen vehicles which are made locally, and with the Nissan NV, the scene is all set for a real change.

A carefully thought out vehicle, the Nissan NV comes in three variants, the NV 1500, NV 2500 HD and the NV 3500 HD. To make it more appealing and functional, the NV also comes in two different roof heights. The possibility of allowing for a higher roof is an attempt at giving people a chance to stand up erect in the van without any difficulty.
Nissan is proud to state that the NV comes to the public after extensive research and study. What all the study has translated into is a dual engine that is connected to a five speed automatic transmission. The NV has a steel frame, and uses a 4 litre V6 engine or 5.6 litre V8 engine.

Any variant of the NV allows you to use either plywood or a regular drywall in the interiors. Even up in front, the van is provided with several compartments that allow the storage of objects in different sizes. When you opt for the high roof model, you will find that you have the added advantage of using compartments provided overhead to also fit in additional things.

The Nissan company has not yet come out with its pricing for the NV, but they are expected to be revealed towards the end of the year. However, they have ensured that there is plenty of information and several insights that have been provided well in advance to help you make your choice.

Thumb Rules to Maintaining your Nissan Car

If you have managed to buy yourself a Nissan car, no matter which car or model it may be, you had better take good care of it. All Nissan cars do really well to keep you comfortable and safe on the roads, and it is your duty to keep it well cared for.

The oil in the car is most important. Most Nissan cars work very well when left to themselves, provided all parameters are in check. Making sure you have enough oil in the engine will keep the car from heating excessively. The oil in your Nissan car should be checked at least once every quarter.

The tires are what support your car and take the flak on the roads. Ensure that your tires are maintained and the treads are in good shape. This will not just support your car well, but also protect it through the rains. Tires that have enough air will also keep the car running smoothly and allow you extra mileage.

The engine of your car has what is known as an engine belt. It is very important to have them checked when your Nissan car goes in for its annual maintenance. It must be changed whenever you car has crossed 50 thousand miles. These are connected with many other parts within the car, and are made of rubber. Rubber has the tendency to wear out with time, and hence, necessitate the replacement of the belt. Ensuring that this is done when needed will keep your car from stalling, and eventually collapse.

Tips to Keep your Car As Good As New

Car maintenance is something that everyone is concerned about. Not just for those who indulge in luxurious vehicles which cost a fortune, but even for those who prefer smaller, more economical varieties. Keeping the car in perfect working order is simple, and a matter of habit.

The first, most important thing to do is make sure the car always has enough fuel. When you use residual fuel, there is a greater chance that sediments and dirt gets into the engine, which could with time run choke it. Keep the car well fuelled and you will find it giving less trouble, and lower the chances of your car stalling mid way.

Look for all parameters as you drive the car. Not just the fuel, but all other indicators as well. Most cars will show you if something is amiss, and you must attend to it immediately. Look for oil, water and even other peripherals. Make sure there is enough water in the wiper compartment, and also in all other reserves as well.

Never ignore any tell tale signs. Cars have a considerable amount of resilience and will work without complaint for as long as they can, but if you hear a nagging sound, feel an unusual pressure or resistance, look into the matter immediately.

Another important thing to check for is wheel alignment. Make sure this is always perfect, or your car needs some adjustment. Send the car in for periodic checks as required, and get it cleaned thoroughly on a routine basis. Love you car, and pay attention to car maintenance, and you will find it stand you in good stead.

Nissan Offers New Green Leaf

Although there are a few cars which run completely on the use of electricity, they are not common, and certainly not affordably priced. Nissan and Renault have looked to push this segment further, and Nissan’s Leaf is just about the promise of reducing harmful fuel emissions.

The electric Leaf is all set to take to the roads, with close to twenty thousand cars readying themselves in America alone. The fully electric car is expected to give about 200 kilometres on a full charge, while several have refuted this claim and believe it can only manage between 130 and 160 kilometres.

The decision to move forward in this segment has been a conscious effort to reduce the drain on fossil fuel and to set the course for the possible way forward in the future. If estimates are to be believed, about one tenth of all cars will be driven by electricity in the next decade.

The five-seater hatchback Nissan Leaf comes with a big price tag, billed at just under forty five thousand dollars in Japan, while it is expected to set Americans back by about twenty five thousand dollars.

The major problems that could face the Leaf despite its interesting design and concept are the cost of the car and its short range. How this will translate into affecting sales is still to be seen. At this stage, there is much anticipation, and the success of the Leaf could actually lead to a shaping of this segment of vehicles, and redefine the way cars are designed altogether.
